Is Your Company Prepared For the Swine Flu Pandemic?
On June 11, the World Health Organization declared that the recent outbreak of H1N1 has reached pandemic status, and since then, I’ve noticed an uptick in the number of articles and blog posts pondering how swine flu may affect supply chains and the global economy, in general, over the coming year. The word “pandemic,” of course, is a reflection of how broadly the virus has spread, and not an indication of its virulence. But, it seems that all eyes are trained on the upcoming autumn months, when the outbreak could become more serious.
